Stegosaurus Papercraft

I've got a new one for you guys, it's a green stegosaurus papercraft model from Chokipeta, it's not very polished like their newer models - this ones still cube-like, definitely an earlier work like the bird and car that was posted not long ago. Very easy and simple, this shouldn't be a problem for anybody at any level.

Guido

Guido is a fictional forklift from the Pixar animated feature film Cars. Guido is Luigi's best friend, and works with him at Luigi's Casa Della Tires. He is an Italian forklift and can perform a professional pit stop by himself in seconds. The only language Guido can speak and understand fluently is Italian. He is one of 12 remaining citizens of Radiator Springs. He is voiced by Guido Quaroni. His name means "I drive" in Italian.

I loved Guido from Cars...so adorable and cute. I got this papercraft from this japanese site http://hal8999.web.fc2.com/guido/guido.html (yes I give proper credits this time). Im not sure who is the original creator/designer because the site is in Japanese. The site also has photos of other papercrafts he/she made.

The instructions for the papercraft are not really specific, especially with the forklift 'hands' but when you see the pictures you'll get the idea. This papercraft is not too hard to make. I would rate its difficulty as 2 on a scale of 1 to 5.

Download it here >> http://hal8999.web.fc2.com/guido/guido.html

(p/s: in that last pic, the bottom part of guido looks weird because my printer had problems printing the whole piece so I had to colour it in. SOrry

Edit : Someone commented that there is a whole set of Cars character papercrafts made by Rick Webdude. You can get it over at his website http://paperian.com/webdude/bl.htm and its very detailed. Its in Pepakura PDO format.

With all the hype with the new Transformers movie, here is another papercraft to add to your collection :D Its Optimus prime, the leader of the transformers brought by the good people at PaperRobots1999. This papercraft model uses rubberbands to connect its parts so that you can transform it from a robot to a truck!

The pdf file consists of one page of parts and two pages of instructions. The papercraft model can be positioned to whatever pose because the parts are movable and can even stand on it's own. It is about 4.5" high and about 1.5" high.

Copernican System Paper Automata

Hello everybody, my name is Sam, I'm the not-so-new member of Paperkraft.net - I work as an illustrator mainly for children's books and I'm based in the New York city. I've been a follower of this blog since it's inception and have been posting comments on the sideline, I officially joined last February but I was in the process of moving to New York from Aachen, Germany, where I used to work. I have to admit that at first, papercraft wasn't really my thing, I was more into automata, and through this site, I have grown to loved papercraft and paper automata ever since. As you've noticed, the other members of the team are mostly working on papercraft models and origami, I will be posting only on paper automatas and some papercraft related news. Finally, I would like to thank Ron for giving me this opportunity and for the advices he shared with me with regards to posting (colored folders for backgrounds, photo size/watermarks, lighting, info. on the model, etc...) and hopefully earn the readers acceptance.

To kick things off, here is a paper automata from Canon (Japan), created by renowned paper engineer, Keisuke Saka - it is based on the Copernican System, also known as heliocentrism. Copernican, being from Nicolaus Copernicus (1473 - 1543), a Polish astronomer and mathematician who theorized that the Sun was the center of the universe/solar system. This model is 7" on it's widest part and about 6" tall, comes in PDF format.
