Final Fantasy Papercraft - Bahamut

Posted by Ron | Tuesday, February 27, 2007 | 27 comments »

Now that I'm back, I want to make it up to my subscribers for all the silent months that went by without a single post. Here's a paper model of Bahamut, my favorite Final Fantasy summon of all. I don't have an assembly instruction for this one, but it's pretty simple to figure out, I've posted a lot of high quality pictures on Flickr so that you can visualize how to put him together. Good luck and enjoy!

Update
- I've received a lot of email complaints from other people about not being able to open the file, if you see an error message from your PDF reader indicating they can't open it, most probably it's because you don't have your Asian/European font pack installed for your PDF reader. Here are the links for Adobe Acrobat and FoxIt readers' language packs.

The file you uploaded to rapidshare is corrupted.

I just checked it and it's fine, my guess is that you don't have the Asian(Japanese) language pack installed for your particular PDF reader.

This was part of the Final Fantasy VIII Papercraft Book from DigiCube (the company that made several Final Fantasy merchandise). The book came with a cd, and this model is ripped from that cd.
It is illegal, and I hope your site does not condone illegal stuff.

You can read more about the book here: http://fire.prohosting.com/riotzero/ff/papercb.shtml
(or just Google its ISBN or something).

Does this require tape or glue? I'm having trouble putting the wings together.

  15. Ron // March 17, 2007 5:34 PM

Tape is not needed, only glue.

But, can you give the instruction of it? I find it difficult to link the parts together =___=

  20. Ron // April 27, 2008 12:16 PM

This one's pretty old. I'll check if I still have the instructions.

I just finished this thing and I must say it's really flimsy... I think it's only because I'm still a novice and I only had a glue stick to put it together with, but this thing really gave me trouble. Anyway I guess it looks cool but it can barely stand up, his head and his leg are coming off, and his wings are drooping all the way down to the surface of the table. I can barely look at it anymore it's so bad. I have no idea how you made yours look so good. DX

  27. Bittersweet // September 18, 2009 8:14 PM

Thanks for the upload, i made this a little while back, but never left a comment. I'd like to let you know that i completed most of bahamut. All that was left was the wings to do. Simple enough to make, using the photoes heavily though haha. Well.
    My cat ate my Bahamut.

I came home, it ws covered in salaiva and bite marks :C
    I was so sad!

But! I do have to congratulate you on making sch a high quiality papercraft!
