Buckminster Fuller designed a map projection which was an unfolded 14 faced figure called a cubeoctahedron. He called this projection the Dymaxion World and in 1943 Life Magazine published an article on this projection and included pages that could be cut out and put together to form either a flat map or a cubeoctahedron "globe." -Cory Poole
My creation is based upon the fact that Shin got inspired by a drop of water. The (head-) shape he created made me think of an orange squeezer and I decided to make a character based upon that. -Matthijs Kamstra
