Legend of Zelda Papercraft - Wind Waker Link

We've posted the Four Sword Link before and a lot of you requested the "other" papercraft version from Chokipeta.jp, well here it is - one of the most requested and sought after papercraft model on the net (well it's not quite exactly the real thing, but close enough) from the Zelda Wind Waker papercraft collection, we present this (*cough*) rough version of the Link papercraft model in all its glory. The pattern for this model was sent to me through email yesterday and the sender didn't really leave that much info. on who made it, well if your reading this (sender), thank you very much and keep up the good work. To the readers, don't get discouraged the first time you see the pattern, as I've mentioned above, it's quite rough - my guess is that this pattern was made by blowing/magnifying the floating thumbnail pic of the original pattern and then doing some Photoshop or Illustrator action on it. For the newbs, if you need a guide on assembling it, check out the pics that I took on my Flickr page and hopefully that'll be able to guide you (I'm not saying mine is how it's suppose to be put together, but if it looks good enough then you probably did it right :) And NO, this is not an April Fool's Joke.

  2. the fool that made this didn't even bother cleaning up the photoshop editing, the colors are all bleeding and the shapes are whacked

  3. As I've said on my post, it's a rough version, but a good one in my opinion. If you think you can do better, then go right ahead.

  4. I just finished this model today, and I have to say that the "editor" was good, this is as close we can get to the actual thing. I hope you find the guy or girl so we can thank and give them credit for it.

  5. There's a lot of people e-mailing me new papercraft patterns, unfortunately, most of them don't use their real name or if they did they don't want to be mentioned, why? I have no idea. As you have seen on most of our post here, we always give credit to those who made the papercraft model and I make it a point to mention if the pattern was sent anonymously or if it didn't have any marks or notes of who made it.

  7. I'm working on redrawing and revising the model to make it even better (hopefully closer to the original). I'll email you a pdf when I get finished.

  10. The guy didn't mean pirated materials as in: you don't give credits to the guy that sent you this, but as in "it's Chokipeta's work and it isn't meant to be freely available on the internet," like some of your other models that are copyrighted.
You should at least try and stick with the free stuff.

  11. Don't listen to this bitches ron, if it can be freely found available on the net, then it's "free" for all. I've seen this wind waker link available on some forums even before you posted it. This complainers are just mad because they have the original models and they dont want to share it, now the public has a copy of it.

  12. Well, since these are not the official templates, and the papercraft itself was a free giveaway in a Japanese game magazine (although technically it's still stealing Chokipeta's work; go talk to the music and movie industry with your "if it can be freely found available on the net, then it's "free" for all"-argument and make internet a better place for us music and movie lovers lol)
Gawd, obviously, people love to get their hands on awesome stuff for free that they normally would have to pay for, dûh... But don't try to talk it right, it's not, by downloading pirated stuff, you'll have to live with a dirty conscience for the rest of your life, hohoho! ;)

  13. Btw, are the Flickr photo's pictures of the original templates, or of this fan-traced one?

  14. >Mr. anonymous,

your contradicting your own argument, if it was given for free by Chokipeta in the first place, why feel guilty about it, were actually doing them a service by advertising their work on the internet. As for my stand on free mp3s and movies, if it can be downloaded on the internet, then its all fair game.

  15. Flickr photos are from the fan traced template.

  16. I don't care if you feel guilty or not (gawd, some people don't understand sarcasm, or didn't you notice the Santa laugh which made it un-serious..?) but then why do you keep coming up with this nonsense "arguments" to justify your actions?? 1. Some of the stuff on this is pirated.
    2. That's "not entirely legal"
    3. Your options: care or don't care about that. Now you go in the second category, and we all know now. Good for you, good for us. Stop making up BS reasons that you seem to beleive are loopholes in copyright laws or something???
"were actually doing them a service by advertising their work on the internet." C'mon dude, you're not some hero-of-the-people-thief that tries to fight the evil corporations, that's bullshit; you want free papercrafts, who wouldn't.
"As for my stand on free mp3s and movies, if it can be downloaded on the internet, then its all fair game." I think we all got your "if somebody ELSE stole it first, it's not my problem"-policy. We're not gonna arrest you, we're not the cops, you don't have to defend yourself...

  17. @Mr. Anonymous

If you don't like it here, why keep coming back? your obviously a troll and just wants attention - keep your self righteous bullshit to yourself mofo

  18. But I DO like it here, that's the part you don't seem to get.
It IS pirated, but I still download it, even though I know it is, because I DO like it.
And bitching at somebody that's so easily irritated only adds to the fun. ;)
