The release of this new diorama also coincides with the release of REVOLTECH's Arc-Gurren Lagann figure (07.01.09). Besides the space background, you can actually build a 3D model of the Mugann mecha - there's like 3 or 4 different types that appearead in the anime series but I can't remember their names.

Is it just me or does Arc-Gurren look like Gunbuster (another Gainax creation)?

The dub bugged me a bit : /
ReplyDeleteI see a lot of parallels between the original Gunbuster series and Gurren Lagann now that you bring it up.
Gurren Lagann kind of takes everything in Gunbuster and turns the volume up to 11.
It's cool that Revoltech is making these dioramas available. Kind of reminds me of when toys used to have diorama elements or accessories designed into the packaging, but a lot nicer.
I need to see ep 16-27 again, but with dub or sub, I want to know what they were talking about ^^
