Leonardo da Vinci was not only a remarkable artist, but a great engineer as well - here's a papercraft model of his human-powered ornithopter - a machine designed to fly by flapping its wings.
This ornithopter papercraft was created based on Leonardo's 15th century drawings and probably designed by GPM (Polish paper model mag), I've seen this exact same papercraft before, just can't remember if it's GPM or Kartonowy Fan, it had an "ABC" in front of the mag. Does anybody know?
This free papercraft is being offered by Český Rozhlas (aka ČRo, aka Czech Radio) under their Český Rozhlas Leonardo channel - focused on science, technology, nature, history and medicine. To get the goods, follow the link below and look for "opnitoptera" in the bottom left side of the page.

inmy opinion these are the best models ever, becouse the have a skeleton made of hard paper in theyr inner. that makes the model thery stable. and the things like rotators etc are moveable.... sorry for bad english ^^
