What happened? the old design was better, I don't like this new one, are you even sure it is Marshall's site?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it transformed from a Mac (sleek, sexy) to a PC (bloated), the site is littered with unsightly ads that don't even blend well with the rest of the design.
The source is from his original site, yes, this is the real deal.

I like the first one, this new site seems off in a way.

The design of the sites lacks.
The new site is all it needs to be for me. A place to find all of the papercrafts created by Alexander.

Everyone should stay focused on what brought them to the site rather than the site itself.
My two cents.
Stay focus on what? there's no new paper toy in the site, of course everybody is going to focus on the site design.

ReplyDeleteJust want to clarify something. Pepakura.net is NOT my new site. I redesigned my own site which is still conveniently located at www.marshallalexander.net.
Pepakura.net is a great new project initiated by a couple Germans that provides us papertoy designers the opportunity to store our PDF's in one central place. At the moment I'm the only one who has uploaded some material, but you can expect toys from other designers soon too.
Thanks for the clarification Marshall, I was reading it off your Twitter feed and I got your new site update and the Pepakura thing mixed up.
