From the Bleach anime/manga series, Zabimaru is Renji Abarai's Zanpakuto (soul cutting sword) - it's a whip sword that has a segmented blade.

just a note: to give your swords stability, use a wooden yardstick cut to size you need- go from handle to tip of sword. also, for big models, stuff the spaces with paper towels or toilet paper (buy at a dollar store). this way the models won't collapse when handled/played with.
