Tango-No-Sekku Papercraft
I mentioned on a previous post about Japan's Children's Day festival being held yearly on the 5th of May, and that Boy's Day (Tango no Sekku) is also celebrated during this time. Samurai warrior dolls, armors, swords, and bows are prominently displayed inside houses along with carp streamers flown outside to symbolize the strength and determination of the carp in Japanese folklore.
In connection to the recent posts regarding Tango no Sekku, here is a Kabuto-Kazari (Samurai warrior battle helmet) papercraft and an origami carp streamer.
