Forbidden City Papercraft

Forbidden City PapercraftThe Forbidden City is a walled section of central Beijing, China, which encloses the palace of 24 emperors in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Formerly closed to the public (hence its name), it is now a vast museum and a major tourist attraction.

Forbidden City Papercraft Front
The Forbidden City is the world's largest surviving palace complex, covering 72 hectares with 980 buildings. As you can see from the pics, this Forbidden City papercraft obviously doesn't cover the whole city - instead, it only covers one building, "The Hall of Supreme Harmony".

Forbidden City Papercraft Rear
The Hall of Supreme Harmony is the largest wooden hall structure within the Forbidden City and is right smack on its center. The building itself is built on top of three levels of marble stone base. Being the center of the city, this hall was used by the emperors for their weddings and enthronements.
