Miffy The White Bunny - Photos

I made a boo boo with Paperkraft's flickr photos when I was just starting out with this blog, I accidentally deleted all the photos I took of the papercrafts posted during 2006. I've decided to take new ones and started with one of the earliest post - the Miffy papercraft. Nothing really special with the shots, just your regular front, back, sides, top, and bottom views.

I'm also opening a separate public album for papercraft fans who want to share photos of their finished models. You can send them to papersamATgmailDOTCOM and please don't forget to include your name or alias so we could include that in.

2008 Olympic Papercrafts

With the XXIX Olympiad (Beijing 2008 Olympic Games) being marred by global protests due to China's worsening track record on human rights, Epson Hong Kong has focused on the positive side and commissioned these inspiring Olympic papercrafts from designer Chan See Lik Paul. The set includes six simple (rowing, pole vault, cycling/group, sailing, equestrian) paper models and three impressive (weight lifting, archery, kayak slalom) ones. Yatterman Papercraft - Omotchama

Highwaychile has finally released the Yatterman papercraft featuring the robot Omotchama. Yatterman is a popular anime series that aired in Japan during the 1970's. The typical plot will have the protagonist travel to a particular era/space eventually encountering the antagonist and the two sides battle it out using their time machines. It always ends with the antagonists suffering massive defeat due to plan mistakes on their time machines. Omotchama is a dice-shaped helper robot. Musha Gundam Papercraft - SD Samurai

The Musha Gundam are mecha units modelled after the different forms of Japanese warriors during Japan's feudal era. It usually takes the form of either a ninja or samurai and is SD (Super Deformed) in style. The Gundam's base weapons like the beam sabre is changed to a katana, naginata, or wakizashi to reflect the type of weapons used during feudal Japan. Designer 333bankin has this awesome Musha Gundam papercraft sporting a red-yellow samurai theme.

Disney Papercraft - Skyway Bucket

One of Disneyland's original atrractions and has been copied by other theme parks around the world, the Skyway (gondola lift) is now immortalized in paper by The Disney Experience site. The Skyway used to be a popular ride but due to costly maintenance, very slow-loading, and a disabilities act violation, it was deemed unprofitable and eventually closed. If you've got fond memories riding the Skyway and you miss it a lot, then what better way to remember it by building this cool Skyway Bucket papercraft.

Gundam Papercraft - SD RGM-79Q GM Quel

Here's the RGM-79Q GM Quel from Cubic Character, Gundam fans might remember it making an appearance on one of the final scenes of the 13-episode "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory" anime series. It was said to be the proto-type version of the Gundam Mk II. This Gundam papercraft sports the blue Titans color scheme and has a shield and gun to go with it. Super Mario Papercraft - Thwomp

Here's the bone-crushing Thwomp enemy character from the Super Mario video game series. The Thwomp is the stone-like creature that has spikes all over the edges of its body. They're main mission on the game is to flatten or squash Mario whenever he tries to pass underneath them. They first appeared on Super Mario Bros. 3, and has had a lot of changes to their appearance over the years. This Thwomp papercraft designed by Prime is the Super Mario Galaxy version, its got less of the traditional pointy spike look and instead has a more rectangular feel to it. Jump over.

Legend of Zelda Papercraft - ChuChu

They are the slender blob-like enemy creatures that appear on the Legend of Zelda video game series having bulging eyes, smiling mouth (fixed), and opaque bodies. They come in a variety of colors depending on which version of the Zelda game series you're playing, what we have is the Wind Waker version so there's red, green, yellow, blue, and purple. These Zelda papercrafts were designed by the Leprechaun.

Military Papercraft - Blue Angels Bearcat

Papercrafters that are into military aircrafts would really enjoy this new addition to Ojimaks' collection. We got to see their vast military papercrafts last month which includes fighter aircrafts used by the US, Japan, Russia, England, and other European countries. This new one adds a notch to the US side, it's the United States Navy's F8F Bearcat - or simply called the "Bear". It was first introduced back in the 1940s by the Grumman Corporation and was designed as an interceptor aircraft but never saw action during World War II. This Bearcat papercraft is the Blue Angels version.

Realistic Scorpion Papercraft

Androctonus crassicauda or also known as the fat-tailed scorpion. Of course we don't have to be a scientist to figure this one out, it got its name from its distinctly fat tail (metasoma) which contains a very potent venom, full of nasty neurotoxins. Compared to other kinds of scorpions, the fat-tailed is actually moderately sized, they grow up to 10 centimeters. This realistic scorpion papercraft is brought to us by designer Hatayama at the Atelier Fare web site. We first had a glimpse of it last month, but now the wait is over, Paper Invaders has finally finished their newest model. The Mazinger Z papercraft has now been released and ready for action - based on the manga/anime series of the same name, it features a giant super robot built out of the indestructible metal chogokin and equipped with an arsenal of deadly weaponry. Together with its pilot, Kouji Kabuto, they protect Japan by battling the evil forces of Doctor Hell.

Epson Papercraft - Pterosaur

Epson and Asahi has teamed up for the opening of the world's largest pterosaur exhibit being held at the Nagoya Science Museum, it runs from March 20 to June 15 of this year. Epson Japan has commissioned this pterosaur papercraft from designer Kei Goto's Keicraft Studio in celebration of this event. Pterosaurs are often referred to as pterodactyls in popular media.
