Frog Papercraft

Nothing much going on today, just waiting for winter to come, this Texas heat is unbearable. Here's one for you, a realistic looking frog from our friend Keiji Kawaguchi at Raspera.com, pretty much every papercraft model in their site has good form, very easy to build, and looks realistic - none of that blocky effect that you hate so much. Raspera requires membership, which will set you about 30 bones, I think it's worth it for all those models. There's also some samples to give you a taste of his work - a chameleon, a golden retriever, and a booby. Have Fun!

  7. I've got a membership to Raspera and Peramodels. Everything they've got is GOLD! Absolutely agree paying the membership fee is well worth it.

  8. i agree with most of the comments here, these papercrafts are what other modelers should copy, in terms of ease and design. a lot of people would be more interested in this craft if it was this simple to build. many of the new crafters like ninjatoes and champloo are in their early stages and probably refining their techniques. their builds are still blocky and edge-full. some of the famous crafters, well mostly in japan, like kei, chokipeta, the ghostman have already refined their techniques and have resulted in good builds. just my 2 cents

The reason why ninjatoes and chimoos work is edge-like, as you would say it, is because they never made the models themselves, what i mean by that is, they extract those 3d models from existing videogames and just modify them to reduce polygons and move certain parts of it. the models that they turn to what they claim as "their" papercrafts was not designed for papercrafting. i know this because ive been lurking at a site called 4chan where uneducated fools worship them there. most of the people there at /po dont even know what a good flow/design is with regards to papercrafting. ive also lurk at cardmodels.net and they have some pretty quality modelers there, like webdude, other than him there is nobody else close to chokis style of work

Chamoo make most of the 3d model.
just look at chamoo's website and you can see an image of a work in progress of a gun from final fantasy.
    its not a rip.
