"The Seed" Stop Motion Papercraft

With funding from Adobe and a lot of time and patience, here's a sublime short film from artist Johnny Kelly called "The Seed". It uses a mix of stop motion papercrafts and 2D drawn animation.

A two-minute animated voyage through nature's life cycle, following the trials and tribulations of a humble apple seed.

Puzzle Cube Papercraft Toys

Two puzzle cube papercrafts from a Japanese designer that goes by the name TOMATO.

They're very simple enough that it's not really going to be a challenge putting them together, good for kids and beginners at papercrafting ^_^

For some reason, the puzzle cube on the left reminds of a Keith Haring artwork and the one on the right is like a failed attempt at Kamikara's Gear Cube.

Just A Reminder

For those following Icthus7' Legend of Zelda Koroks papercraft series, if and when you finish the whole thing, be sure to take a photo and send it to the designer - you'll get a bonus for you hardwork.

The Koroks include Hollo, Irch, Olivio, Oakin, Makar, Linder, and Rown, the bonus is a sylph papercraft model (pic above) - Sylphs are elemental beings believed to inhabit the air and are usually female.

Pokemon Papercraft - Marill

Marill is an aquatic mouse Pokemon that is the evolved form of the Azurill. Marill's unique feature is its oil-filled tail-end which floats like a buoy. The tail itself is stretchable, so while the tail-end floats atop the water, the rest of its body dives underwater to feed on aquatic plants.

Marill is also one of the few Pokemon that have impermeable fur that keeps it dry even when swimming, this impermeability also allows it to swim at high speed because it lessens water resistance.

Zelda Papercraft - Sheik

Sheik is one of Princess Zelda's alter-ego in the Legend of Zelda video game series, this character appears in Ocarina of Time.

She muffles her voice, styles her hair diffrently, covers half her face, wears a form-fitting blue suit (probably have a chest plate to hide her oppai) - all to pass herself off as a Sheik (a young Sheika). Sheikas btw, are an ancient clan of ninja-like warriors that swore to protect the Hylian Royal Family, and were often referred to as the "shadows" of the Hylians.

Sheik plays the harp and helps Link learn new songs to get him through his quests. This Zelda Sheik papercraft is from Icthus7, it comes with the harp and a stand.

SD ZZ Gundam Papercraft 2

Toyoppe did a major overhaul on his previous SD ZZ Gundam papercraft and added a few bonuses.



You can see from the comparison shot above that the height has changed, the old ZZ Gundam is the one on the left. The backpack and double beam rifle is still there.

WoW Papercraft - Mark "S" Boomstick Gun

Here's a unique gun papercraft from the World of Warcraft, the Mark "S" Boomstick.

This gun binds when picked up and improves hit rating and critical strike rating by 18%. Attack power is also increased by 34. You'll need Froststeel Tube, Hair Trigger, Saronite Bar, and a Walnut Stock to create this gun.


It pays homage to the 1992 horror-comedy movie, Army of Darkness (Bruce Campbell), by referencing the famous "boomstick" gun scene:

Official Monsters vs. Aliens Papercraft

That's right kids, more Monsters vs. Aliens papercraft goodies ^_^

The creative and talendted folks at Curiosity Group / Cre8tivegirl does it again! Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar 2, and now this - an Insectosaurus papercraft vs. the Alien Miner Robot papercraft. Insectosaurus was transformed by nuclear radiation from a one inch grub into a 350-foot monster behemoth capable of shooting silk out of its mouth. They have a scene together in the movie (for those that haven't seen it yet)



There's also a tank papercraft to help in the fight against the Aliens and a cityscape diorama featuring the whole Monsters Team. Monsters vs. Aliens is now out in theatres nationwide, so go see it. Go Monsters!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Papercraft Model Kit

This is the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Papercraft Model Kit created by Rob Valois and released by Grosset & Dunlap (Penguin.com), it's an official licensed Star Wars merchandise.

It's a hardcover book that includes three papercraft models, each with varying degrees of assembly difficulty. The Clone Trooper Helmet model is Padawan (easy) level, then you've got an R2-D2 model having a Jedi Knight (medium) level, and finally the AT-TE Walker model is a Jedi Master (hard) level.

The book has a magnetic lock on the side, a common thing that you'll often see in kids books.

All the models are pre-cut and makes use of those tab inserts, no glue and cutting necessary.

I couldn't find any ruler around when I was taking pics so I put my DS beside it for comparing the thickness and size.

For $12 bucks with free shipping, it's not bad for papercraft collectors and a great deal for Star Wars fans. This btw, is a gift - I didn't open the pattern because I want to buy a second one first (I always buy two copies), one to make/destroy and the other goes to my archive. I'll post pics of the finished models later on.
